Landmark is Adobe Partner

In addition to participating in the IBG Alliance Partner Program, distributorship The Landmark Image, Vacaville, Calif., is an authorized reseller and enterprise partner of Adobe products. The partnership is an integral part of The Landmark Image's ability to offer technology solutions, one of its three core offerings. (The others are printing and marketing.)

"We're able to offer a lot more by partnering with specialists," says Ray Goodson, president of The Landmark Image and a former PSDA Board member. "In order to keep offering additional products and services, we either have to acquire knowledge on own or partner with companies that have it already." The distributorship is authorized to resell Adobe products such as Acrobat, Photoshop and Illustrator, which printing firms use frequently to view and produce graphics files.

As the need to interact with data stored in enterprise applications expands, adapting systems to meet this need has become expensive and time-consuming. Adobe's Intelligent Document Platform empowers firms to replace inefficient, manual, paper-based processes with automated, streamlined ones. A few years ago, Adobe bought JetForm (which changed its name to Accelio). JetForm was at the forefront of e-forms creation in the early 1990s, but the technology didn't expand as quickly as many pundits predicted. Today, Adobe's Enterprise Division combines JetForm's e-forms technology with its own viewing tools, providing back-end integration to e-forms providers such as The Landmark Image.

The distributorship promotes its Adobe partnership on its web site and other ways. On Aug. 24, the company played host to a partnering seminar. Representatives from Adobe spoke about e-forms, gurus from Xerox discussed one-to-one marketing, and experts from Appleton spoke about document security. Several customers of The Landmark Image, including a payroll firm, credit unions and an auto-service shop, attended the seminar.
