Doug Barr was promoted to vice president of sales, western hemisphere, at ECRM, Tewksbury, Mass. Barr, a 30-year veteran of the graphic arts industry, is responsible for managing and coordinating sales and dealer channel activities in the Americas. He has been with ECRM since 2005.

F. David Clarke III was elected chairman of the board at Standard Register, Oakland, Calif. Clarke, who has served on the board since 1992, replaces Paul Granzow, who passed away last year.

Wendy Cebula was promoted to COO of VistaPrint, Hamilton, Bermuda. She is a six-year veteran of the VistaPrint management team and previously served as CIO. Cebula was also employed at MotherNature.com and the financial services company Partner’s First. Former VistaPrint COO Alex Schowtka will continue on with the company until March 30.

John Hartwell was promoted to vice president of operations at WorkflowOne, Dayton, Ohio. He was formerly senior director of operations at the company. In his new role, Hartwell leads WorkflowOne’s 32 company-owned manufacturing and distribution centers. He has 22 years of operations management experience, and has worked for Burroughs Corporation/ Standard Register, Data Documents and Paxar.

Dean Benjamin was appointed director of research at Stora Enso’s Biron Research Center, Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. In his new role, Benjamin leads product development for the Publications Papers division. He has been with the company since 1994 and has worked on coating preparation, paper finishing, high-speed coaters, fountain applicators, corrosion engineering and kraft chemical recovery systems.

NEW HIRES
Uri Mittler was hired as a sales representative at Maggio Data Forms, Hauppauge, N.Y. His territory is New York City, northern New Jersey and the greater Philadelphia area. Mittler has more than 25 years’ experience in printing and business forms from both distributor and manufacturer perspectives.

Sandra Kortenber was named customer service/sales manager at Wise Business Forms’ Fort Wayne, Ind. facility. Kortenber has more than 10 years’ experience in the printing industry. Nextwave Digital Marketing, a division of Wise Business Forms, named Mike Dinan as general manager. Dinan has more than 20 years of management experience in the printing industry. The company also named Marcos Escudero as production manager and Michael Richards as customer service manager. Escudero has more than 12 years of experience. Richards, who has more than 28 years of printing experience, joined Nextwave last year.

Michael Dubose was hired as CEO and chairman of Vertis Communications, Baltimore. Dubose previously served as senior adviser to Aurora Capital and as chairman of Anthony International. He also worked at Aftermarket Technology, Grimes Aerospace Company, SAIC, General Instrument and General Electric.

Eric Hegdahl was appointed marketing technology officer at Graphic Systems Group, New York City. He comes to the company with more than 15 years’ technical and prepress experience in the graphic arts and printing industry. In his new position, he helps clients streamline their workflow through training and educational seminars.

Darren Gapen was named president of Seiz Printing in Acworth, Ga. In his new role, he oversees day-to-day operations and sales management. Gapen worked for more than 12 years at Bradley Printing and Williamson Printing Corporation. He was also the lead press instructor for Heidelberg and served as president of D.G. Print Solutions.

Beesley

Kirsten Telfer was appointed group software director and Chris Beesley was appointed program director at Domino Printing Sciences, Cambridge, UK, an ink jet and laser manufacturer. Telfer formerly worked for naval defense supplier Sonar Systems and in software engineering. Beesley formerly worked at telecommunications supplier Bookham and at Hewlett Packard.
