John R. Heath was named president of Arkwright Inc., Océ N.V.'s media development and production company. He replaces Joseph Marciano, who is now president of Océ Business Services in New York City. Heath joined Arkwright as vice president of operations, with responsibility for the company's four manufacturing sites and eight distribution centers. He most recently served as COO.


Rich Nickols was named digital products manager at Nazdar, a supplier and distributor of screen printing and digital inks in Shawnee, Kan. He plans and supervises the company's NDI Digital Ink marketing efforts, develops its research and development requirements, and coordinates production of its NDI Digital Inks.


NEW HIRES
Rick Amundson was promoted to regional sales manager at InfoSeal, a manufacturer of self-mailer documents headquartered in Roanoke, Va. Based in Englewood, N.J., Amundson is responsible for the company's presence in New York City and the tri-state area. He previously served in the field as technical liaison for forms and equipment.


Donna Ferland was named an account executive with the outside sales force at Relyco Sales Inc., a distributorship headquartered in Dover, N.H. Ferland, who has more than 20 years of sales and consulting experience, most recently worked for Prestige Placement Consultants of Andover, Mass., and Corporate Research Consulting of Hampton, N.H. Scott Hoonakker joined Relyco as a remote sales representative handling the Utah market and solidifying the company's western U.S. presence.


Steven Pearl was named director, product and solutions marketing, at Kyocera Mita America, Fairfield, N.J. Pearl oversees the implementation of the document-imaging company's marketing and solutions strategy for ECOSYS printers, multi-functional products, facsimiles and wide-format imaging systems. He also is responsible for building and managing strategic original-equipment-manufacturer relationships with software and network solutions providers. Pearl previously served as group product marketing manager for Konica Minolta Business Solutions USA Inc., where he was responsible for marketing and product development for Konica Minolta's line of copiers, printers, facsimile and multifunctional products. At Kyocera Mita America, Pearl reports to Michael Pietrunti, who recently was named senior vice president of marketing and technical services.


Rick Brenner was named president and CEO of Prime Resources Corporation, a promotional products supplier in Bridgeport, Conn. He took over the position from Prime Resources Corp. owner Bob Lederer, who became chairman of the board of directors. Brenner most recently consulted for mid-sized businesses on acquisitions, growth strategy and profit improvement. Prior to that, he served as CEO at Skyline Multimedia, New York City.


Peter R. Mathias was named president at MACtac North America, a subsidiary of Bemis Co. that supplies pressure sensitive adhesive materials. He's responsible for the Minneapolis-based company's recently restructured North American pressure sensitive materials business and implementation of its sales and profit growth strategy. Prior to joining MACtac, Mathias was president of Montreal-based Alcan Inc.'s North American food packaging business.


Todd Bills was named product manager of Muller Martini Corp.'s Book Binding Division, Hauppauge, N.Y. He provides technical sales support for the company's line of perfect binding and hard cover systems. Before joining Muller Martini, Bills served as continuous improvement manager at RR Donnelly Inc.'s Willard, Ohio, manufacturing plant. He began his career at Donnelley's Crawfordsville, Ind., manufacturing plant. He held a variety of executive-level posts with the printer, including IT manager, customer service manager and engineering manager. In 1999, he transferred to Donnelley's Roanoke manufacturing plant in Salem, Va., to oversee the facility's bindery operations.


Ken McNerney was named president at Patented Printing, a full-service printing firm in Dayton, Ohio. He's responsible for the company's strategy and management of the senior executive staff. McNerney, who has more than 28 years of senior management experience, most recently served as vice president of book manufacturer D.B. Hess Company, Woodstock, Ill. Joe Sellars was named vice president of manufacturing. He oversees day-to-day operations of the company's Dayton facility and its newly acquired plant in Indianapolis. Robert Howlett was named vice president of sales and business development. He's responsible for developing and managing client relationships. Howlett most recently served as senior vice president of educational sales for TechBooks Inc., Fairfax, Va.


Sandra Kennedy joined the customer service department at Integrated Document Solutions Inc., Chattanooga, Tenn. Kennedy, who has 25 years' experience in the printing industry, most recently worked for Master Graphics in Chattanooga. Her responsibilities include major accounts contact, internal auditing administration and insides sales.


Steven Neal was named account executive with ColorDynamics, a commercial printer in Allen, Texas. He develops national business for the $2 million Scheffer in-line finishing equipment installed on the company's Harris M1000 8-color web press. Neal, who has more than 20 years of commercial printing sales experience, previously represented Vertis Inc., Meredith Burda and Nevada Web Graphics.


RETIREMENT
Jerry Tye retired from promotional product supplier The Allen Company, Blanchester, Ohio. Tye started at The Allen Company in 1967. He was honored with a retirement luncheon at the company to celebrate with family and current and former Allen Company employees. Allen Dohan, president and CEO, presented Tye with a personalized Selco mantel clock.

Roger Buck, national sales manager at distributorship Ward/ Kraft, Fort Scott, Kan., received the Myron Roever special business partner award from SWM Printing and Promotions Inc., St. Louis. Named for the founder of manufacturer MAR Graphics, Valmeyer, Ill., the Myron Roever award is given annually by SWM to the business partner who exemplifies dedication and commitment to improving the lives of printing businesses and their customers, employees, families and community.


PROMOTIONS
Jon Surch was named vice president of service, sheetfed operations, for MAN Roland Inc., a supplier of printing equipment in Westmont, Ill. Surch directs a support organization that covers the United States and Canada and encompasses MAN Roland's Rapid Response program, as well as the installation of new equipment. He previously served as general manager of the Southern region. Juerg Spittler was named vice president of business development, sheetfed operations. He previously served as assistant vice president of sheetfed operations. In his new role, Spittler supports the company's regional businesses and local sheetfed sales teams. Chris Howes was named assistant vice president of sales support, sheetfed operations. Howes, who has worked at the company for 23 years, previously served as director of sales administration. He's responsible for day-to-day interaction with the company's sales support team in Offenbach, Germany. Craig Simon was named regional sales manager in the Northeast for the MAN Roland's newspaper line of web presses. Simon's territory ranges from Maine to Ohio to Maryland. It encompasses the corporate headquarters of The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and the Hearst Corporation. Gary Day, who currently manages sales administration for commercial web presses, was named assistant vice president, web sales administration, and now handles both web press segments.
