Trust Your Intuition
Do
you believe in meaningful coincidences?
Albert Einstein once said, “The
intellect has little to do on
the road to discovery. There comes
a leap in consciousness—call
it intuition or what you will—and
the solution comes to you, and
you don’t know how or why.”
Your
intuition may appear as a hunch,
thought or message. A good indicator
that the message is truly from
your intuition is when it brings
you a greater sense of clarity
and a feeling of self-righteousness
about the answer. Intuition is
an internal mechanism that aids
you in all of your decision-making.
Some people might call it gut
instinct. It’s that sense
of something that tells you to
go in one direction or another.
Conventional
wisdom dismisses intuition as
something intangible, mystical
and unreliable. It’s thought
to be the gift of women, while
men just have hunches or gut responses.
In reality, men and women are
equally equipped to be intuitive,
and equally equipped to use this
power in their daily lives. The
trick is to learn how to tap into
it to achieve greater levels of
success.
Intuition
can empower you to be productive
and active in any situation. By
combining your intuition with
your feelings and judgments, you
can enhance your powers of decision-making
immeasurably.
Each
individual’s life boils
down to a single question: “What
is the personal significance of
my life?” It’s the
ultimate question, and that leads
us to search for answers to lots
of other questions. The manner
in which you go about this is
by questioning yourself and discovering
knowledge you didn’t know
you possessed. Intuition takes
you to the next level of understanding,
and its function is to lead you
to new answers. You will find
that it’s the little questions
that bring clarity and meaning
to your life.
The
first real test is to be honest
with yourself. Successful people
have developed their intuition
by learning to trust their feelings
and following their inner guidance.
If you take time to focus on your
deepest desires and goals, solutions
will come to your mind. Don’t
try to be clever or respond by
trying to impress others. Ask
yourself questions that dig deep
down:
What do you want? What do you
need?
What would you wish for? What
is your ambition?
What is your greatest talent?
What is your most formidable obstacle?
What are you missing in your life?
Which area would you most like
to change?
If
you think about your answers,
you’ll find ways to move
forward in accomplishing the changes
you desire. Make time to listen
to your inner voice. Your most
valuable intuitive wisdom comes
when you are relaxed and open
to receiving it. Intuition works
better when you trust it.
In
the long run, it’s not what
you think about that matters—it’s
what you write down and act upon.
