Mitsubishi Lithographic Presses has relocated the company’s west coast headquarters from Torrance, Calif., to Ontario, Calif. The modular structure includes eight components that can be mixed and matched based on individual business strategies. Job data is transmitted in JDF from pre-press, optimizing changeover time and making ultra-short runs economically feasible.

Neenah Paper, Alpharetta, Ga., was granted Process Chlorine Free (PCF) certification from the Chlorine Free Products Association for 100 percent post-consumer fiber papers in the Classic and Environment paper lines. The PCF certification is a new program, requiring extensive audit and chain-of-custody procedures.

MKS, Ion Industrial and Tantec Static Control introduced a new charging system, designed for pressroom and bindery operations of subscription card tacking, magazine tacking to incline stackers, ribbon tacking and chill-roll tacking. The equipment is powered by the 7305 charging generator, a microprocessor-based DC power supply in three output versions. The high-performance tungsten charging bars are arranged in a unique spacing configuration to achieve charging currents 20 percent higher than industry standard bars.
