Let This Book Be Your Guide
You're holding a popular tool. Every month, Print Solutions editors receive back-issue requests for the annual Buyers' Guide, and more than 80 percent of our readers say they hold onto the issue until the next one appears. Those are encouraging truths, and they remind us that the most effective publications contain valuable, easy-to-locate information.

Magazine issues don't have to be elegant to be effective. This issue doesn't include feature articles highlighting successful applications sold by distributors, and it doesn't include pieces filled with sales, marketing and management ideas.

But it can help your company find vendors and win business. You can use the Buyers' Guide to find excellent sources for the products and services you offer, as well as to learn about companies whose capabilities you might need in the future.

The Buyers' Guide is divided into two sections: the Product Index and the Company Directory. The Product Index (beginning on page 22) is an alphabetical list of hundreds of products and services offered by manufacturers and suppliers.

The Company Directory (beginning on page 233) lists mailing addresses, phone and fax numbers, and internet and email addresses for companies included in the Product Index. Most firms include comments about their business philosophies and core strengths. Some also include images of products they offer.

How the Buyers' Guide is Generated
Print Solutions editors maintain a database of information provided by manufacturers and suppliers. In July, we mailed proofs to companies included in the previous Buyers' Guide, giving those firms an opportunity to approve or change their listings. Additionally, we contacted DMIA member and non-member companies that didn't appear in the previous Buyers' Guide and gave them an opportunity to complete the official listing form. (We update product categories on the listing form annually, based on suggestions from manufacturers and suppliers.) The deadline to return proofs and listing forms was Aug. 11; DMIA members who missed the deadline received faxes and emails in August and September. DMIA members and companies that placed display ads in this issue received free listings; non-members who didn't advertise paid $295. If your firm manufactures or supplies products sold in the printing and document management industry, and the company isn't listed in this issue, please send an email to buyersguide@printsolutionsmag.com, or call Print Solutions at (800) 336-4641.
